Custom Background Images in Gmail

For a while now Gmail users have had almost 40 pre-made themes to choose from in order to color up their inbox a bit, as well as a "Choose Your Own Theme" option that allows users to custom-color their background and text.

Finally, Gmail has made available the option to upload a custom background image, such as a picture from your camera, to decorate your inbox.

Here are step-by-step instructions on how to use Gmail's new option:

1.) In the top right corner of your inbox click the "gear" icon to the right of your
name.

2.) Click "Mail Settings"

3.) Click "Themes"

4.) Click "Create Your Own Theme"

5.) Click the top left corner of the "Create Your Own Theme" window,
which will open the "Main Background" drop-down menu.

6.) Near the bottom of the "Main Background" window, under "Background Image", click select.

7.) Now select the location of the file you want to upload and click "select"

8.) Your image should now be set as the background of your inbox.
